Zachary J. Corcoran

President

Zach Corcoran took an early interest in business, exploration and all of the unique facets of the oil and gas industry. As a young child, he would accompany his father to well site visits and grew up absorbing his many lessons in reservoir engineering. He also had a Great Aunt who was a geologist of sorts; her explanation and details of the origins of her vast collection of fossils, rocks and minerals were ever captivating. Although he would still remain intrigued and involved with the industry, he pursued his initial undergraduate studies by leaning into his innate entrepreneurial mindset and strengths in finances. He graduated from Texas A&M University Mays Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He began his professional career as a standalone broker for Wachovia Securities, LLC/Wells Fargo Advisors in Corpus Christi, Texas. He evaluated and executed investments in the industry, performed due diligence and successfully built a clientele base and book of business exceeding $15 million in Assets Under Management. As a standalone financial advisor, he routinely attending rigorous sales and negotiation training. Following the financial crisis of 2008, Zachary pivoted his career path. He obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, as well as graduating cum laude from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting with a Minor in Geology. This dynamic and well-versed background of studies continue to tremendously benefit him daily as a South Texas oil and gas operator. Zachary is extremely knowledgeable in many facets of the oil and gas industry. He has provided land services as an independent petroleum landman for many major industry clienteles for over 10 years. Zachary has also briefly worked in the field as a flowback specialist and is familiar with hydrocarbon measurements, oil and natural gas production and distribution. Currently, as an oil and gas properties consultant, he is experienced in land, legal, sales, reservoir engineering, drilling engineering, seismic interpretations, geological analysis and well logging. Attributable to his strong sales and business background, Zachary has negotiated leases, performed well site planning and raised over $1.1 million to successfully sell and drill a producing oil well in Nueces County, Texas. He is extremely communicative and works as a liaison to keep Working Interest Owners apprised. Zachary is a member of the Society of Independent Earth Scientists, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Corpus Christi Geological Society, American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the International Right of Way Association. As the president of Sir Drake Oil and Gas Company, Zachary specializes in the premier and prolific, South Texas Gulf Coast Frio Trend. The company’s primary focus is generating, operating and selling conventional, high quality, economically successful oil and gas prospects.  

Allison M. Corcoran

Vice President

Allison Corcoran has been immersed in the energy industry since childhood.  With her inquisitive nature, the industry peaked her interest as she recalls the smell of oil and gas on her father’s clothes after work. Her admiration of his dedication to the oil and gas industry later evolved into an internship with him at a major energy company.  As she grew older, Allison gained a greater perspective on the role that oil and gas plays in the Gulf Coast of Texas and yearned to participate in it.  Allison grabbed the opportunity to work for a pure Gulf Coast player in the oil and gas industry, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She spent 12 years as the Lead Geologist for the company and is highly experienced in reservoir, production, workovers, well re-entries and mainly had focused on drilling geology for onshore South Texas assets and operations along the Gulf Coast.   She has worked diligently and efficiently during her career by taking on increasing responsibilities to create and integrate subsurface and 3D seismic mapping to plan and successfully drill over 25 conventional Frio Formation wells grossing over $25 million in net profits to working interest owners.  Allison was instrumental in successful exploration, development and exploitation of various key structural and stratigraphic plays in the Frio Formation in various fields across South Texas  Allison has served in various capacities in her role as lead geologist including the identification and execution of new drills, enhancing production, completions, recompletions, workovers and re-entries to old wellbores to exploit left behind “attic reserves”.   She is proficient in the utilization and application of IHS Kingdom Seismic Software Suite and Kingdom Geology Suite for 3D Seismic mapping to enhance her company’s capabilities of drilling successful wells while mitigating risk through her thorough analysis of creating cross-sections, subsurface maps and isopach maps in order to de-risk the projects.  Allison graduated from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi in 2010 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Geology. Allison later pursued and graduated with her Masters Degree in Environmental Geology with an emphasis in Petroleum Geology from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is a member of the Society of Independent Earth Scientists, the Corpus Christi Geological Society and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
